4th Of July Parade 2020

Many great people and cars came together to make this happen. It all started in the church parking lot. Vintage cars were on display before the parade started. Then they were to tour the greater part of the Echo Lake Community.

Undoubtedly, 2020 will not be the year to add to the traditions that ordinarily make up our Fourth of July memories. Perhaps this year's "stay-home-stay-safe" Fourth can be the standout start of a new memory lane, highlighted by the first ever Echo Lake Community car parade. It is hard to say who may have had more fun--the classic, vintage and luxury car owners, the families in the mom-and-pop-flag-decorated-cars, the Lost Echo Hams radio support team or the 300 or more neighborhood observers who interrupted their family barbecues to step out, wave and send a friendly shoutout while they enjoyed the parade. Regardless, it was a smile-maker in a year when we all need as many smiles as we can make--even when those smiles hid behind a face cover!

We would like to thank everyone that helped make this an Independence Day to remember with about 70 participating vehicles. For those that missed seeing the parade, check out the video to the left.
